2017 Nissan Altima 2.5 Replaced transmission Vehicle revs fine, works great in reverse. Put into drive, moves for a second and doesn’t take any throttle. When brake is applied and throttle is given in drive, it picks up on RPM. P17F0 code for transmission CVT judder. Does the transmission need to be reprogrammed?
I'd definitely do the programming first to see if that fixes the problem.

I recently changed my stepper motor &filter on the valve body because I got p1778 code. Now it won't go into gear. Its 2013 Nissan Maxima 3.5l with cvt transmission. I did use Castro CVT universal transmission fluid. But I can't see how the fluid can cause it to not shift into gear. 😐 need help
Did you replace the Cvt yourself ?
Yes, I did.
Would the car drive?
I did not do a test drive while the code was set, but I was able to move it in and out of the shop with no problem.

Nvm i found out its the black metal cover in the middle underneath held on with the 10mm bolt

@@andrewrodriguez7678 turns out trans has a crack all up the side of it where it bolts into the engine so im taking the trans out with it i found that it was cracked the last bolt lol anyways its 100% possible to fo it the way he shows you in the video im probably going to be dropping a video on it forsure
@@thisbamboozle3924 I got a vq in a g35 thats just cranking no start i think ima go ahead and attempt the swap aswell i did transmissions before from under the car so with ahoist and a hand i should be good
Update: cars running and driving all good to go im going to post what i had trouble with but for the most part its pretty straight forward not too bad but it is a job

When dropping the good motor in and connecting the transmission is there a gasket or sealant tht have to be used or just bolt up and keep moving sorry if dumb question I admit I don't know alot about car mechanical engineering
No sealant or gasket required.

does the engine just slide out after talking the outside bolts out (assuming everything else is disconnected) to get to the torque converter bolts? i have a rwd if that make a difference

How long did you let it go before you changed it out?
It drove live that maybe around 10 miles. You don't want it running like that for too long, could do some major damage.
@@GDWS81 There are other videos that show engines that were destroyed by this design flaw.

I have the knocking noise on my 5.4 engine too but I have a 09 F150. The engine would be the same right? Also, how can u identify the faulty one? Is this a difficult process to complete? Thx so much!
